About
Alex is an Investment Manager in Mercia’s VCT funds, and is involved in identifying new investment opportunities, completing transactions and supporting Mercia’s portfolio companies. Alex is the Investor Director on the Boards of Log My Care, Gentronix and Ridge Pharma, as well as Mercia’s Board Observer for Oddbox, Locate Bio, Newcells, Turbine and Ablatus.
Previous experience
Alex joined Mercia in 2021 after seven years in the world of science and technology: first as a science policy advisor for the UK government, and then as a consultant and client manager at IBM. Alex has a first-class undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London.
